A few notes on eligibility for the Cash for Clunkers program:
· Your Vehicle must be less than 25 years old when you trade it in.
· This only applies to new vehicle purchases. You can get a credit when you buy a new vehicle and also if you lease for more than five years.
· In general, your trade-in must get 18 mpg or less. Click here to find fuel mileage information.
· Your trade must have been registered and insured for the past year.
· Your vehicle must be in drivable condition.
